AsSalam Alykum,

At that moment you wake up, you have to choose between being the action or the reaction. In other words as Stephan Covey called it, Proactive person or Reactive person.

Reactive people are driven by feelings, by circumstances, by conditions, by their environment. If the weather is good, they feel good. If it isn’t, it affects their attitude and their performance greatly. They are those people who may lose their spirit and dreams because of one event. The worst case of them, lives as victims of the society or lives drama-like life like in movies.

While Proactive people are just different. They may pass by everything the reactive people pass by, But they are the action. Proactive people can carry their own weather with them. Whether it rains or shines makes no difference to them. They are still influenced by external stimuli..physical, social or psychological, but their response to the stimuli, conscious or unconscious, is a value-based choice or response.

Proactive person is a value-driven person.

 At this point, I want you to realize. Everyone in the world got the same 24 hours every day. Most people got the basic gifts from Allah from ears, eyes..and everything you have but never appreciate. Most people have the right to choose, to act, and not just live as  victims for their community. So what make some people awesome, while others are just nothing, is them.

It’s you who choose. Do you want to just be a copy?. Do you want to live unhappily forever for living drama-like life?. Do you want to do what you are doing?. Are you a value-driven person?. You always have the choice. Sometimes, It’s not easy to be proactive in certain communities, but being a proactive person changes the community with time.

You are responsible for your life. Actually, look at the word “Responsibility”. It is “response ability”. Proactive people understand this. Responsible people got the “ability” to choose their “response”.

It’s time to be responsible for your life. How you see it, how you appreciate everything in, and how you response. Your attitude is all what you have got.
